The Australian Water Brokers Association (AWBA) was established in May 2007 in response to the rapid evolution of Australia’s water trading market. As water trading became a vital component of the nation’s water management framework, a clear need emerged for an organisation dedicated to setting professional standards, supporting transparency, and representing the interests of water brokers and market participants across the country.

From its inception, the AWBA has worked to professionalise and strengthen the water broking industry, ensuring that all participants uphold the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and service. The Association’s mission is to foster confidence and trust in the water market by promoting ethical conduct, industry knowledge, and fair dealing in every transaction.
