Experience
Peter is a 3rd generation irrigator from Renmark whereas a wine grape and almond grower he was elected as the Presiding Member of the Renmark Irrigation Trust (RIT) from 2007 till 2019, so has intimate knowledge of both drought and flood conditions and how they impact on irrigation regions. As chair of the RIT Peter oversaw the modernisation of the Trusts infrastructure and the achievement of gold level accreditation from the Alliance for Water Stewardship, which was then a world first for an irrigation company. During this time Peter was also elected to the board of the National Irrigation Council (NIC) and South Australia NRM Board who had responsibility for SA Water Allocation Plans. Peter also has experience managing a broker team and overseeing their marketing and valuations prior to joining Ruralco. Peter is passionate about partnering with and bringing value to his clients and their water requirements so that the Investment and Farming community are able to do what they do best in a sustainable manner and stress-free manner.
