The Australian Water Brokers Association (AWBA) is the peak body representing professional water brokers and market intermediaries across Australia. We promote integrity, accountability, and best practice in water trading. Our members play a vital role in connecting irrigators, investors, and communities, supporting the sustainable management and value of Australia’s water resources.

Our mission is to protect and advance the long-term interests of our members and the water trading industry.

The AWBA is the collective voice of professional water brokers and market intermediaries across Australia. We advocate for a fair, transparent, and efficient water market that supports productive agriculture, responsible investment, and the sustainable management of water resources. Our members facilitate the lion’s share of annual allocation trade throughout the Murray Darling Basin and beyond, demonstrating the value of the accredited AWBA network across the nation’s irrigation regions.
